Sheriff West and staff attend the Oklahoma Blue Light Ceremony
11/06/2023 - Canadian County Sheriff Chris West and members of his staff attended the Oklahoma Blue Light Ceremony service on Sunday, November 5, 2023. The Oklahoma Blue Light service to Honor all of Oklahoma’s fallen law enforcement officers is held every year, and conducted at Oklahoma’s Law Enforcement Memorial, located on the west side of the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety headquarters building in Oklahoma City.

Man Arrested for Multiple Sex Crimes
10/30/2023 - On Thursday, October 26, 2023, Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua Paul Wayne Mackey, 46 of Mustang, on multiple charges, including Aggravated Possession of Child Pornography. Investigators received a Cyber-Tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation regarding a residence in Mustang distributing child pornography over social media. A court order for the suspect’s IP address revealed the residence belonging to Mackey.
Dalmont Sentenced to 20 Years
10/25/2023 - On Tuesday, Christian Dalmont, 25 of Wichita, Kansas was sentenced to twenty years in prison for Lewd Acts with a Child and Possession of Child Pornography. (Continued)

10/09/2023 - Four members of the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office were recognized on Friday, October 6th during the Oklahoma Sheriffs Association annual awards banquet, held in Mid-West City. (continued)

8/28/2023 - Canadian County Sheriff Chris West announced his intentions to seek a third term over the weekend when he posted to his personal Facebook account: “I’m running for re-election in 2024! It’s such an incredible honor to serve as Canadian County Sheriff.”
Canadian County Sheriff's Office offers Child ID Fingerprinting during Canadian County Fair
8/16/2023 - From Thursday, August 24th through Saturday August 26th the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office will be available at the Canadian County “Free Fair” Expo Center to assist families with completing child Identification and fingerprint cards. These identification kits can be completed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on all three days at the Sheriff’s Office booth, just inside the main entrance to the Expo Center building.
Man Arrested for Rape - First Degree, Incest and Domestic Assault and Battery
7/27/2023 - On July 14, 2023 Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for child pornography in the Westlake Trailer Park (Canadian County). The search warrant was to locate and seize videos of child pornography that were uploaded to Social Media. Investigators quickly determined these videos were manufactured in Canadian County and executed the search warrant to locate the children and videos. (continued)More News

I-40 Traffic Stop Leads to Trafficking Cocaine
1/19/2023 - On Tuesday, January 17th at around 6:30 pm, a deputy with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office stopped a gray colored 2012 GMC SUV with New Jersey plates for a traffic violation along Interstate 40 & Radio Road in Canadian County. (continued)
Twenty-year-old arrested for Child Pornography
12/06/2022 - On December 1, 2022, Chase Berg, a twenty-year-old white male from El Reno, was arrested for possession of child pornography by the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office. The case was referred to Canadian County Sheriff’s Office by the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators reviewed the case and gathered Berg used chat applications to send and receive child pornography. (continued)
