On January 11, 2022, Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wyatt Conner, a 21-year-old white male from Mustang, for possession of child pornography. The investigation began in December 2021 when a Cyber-tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) alerted sheriff’s investigators of a subject uploading child pornography through Snapchat. Investigators began the process to identify the subject and found Conner owned the Snapchat account that was sharing child pornography.
The child porn that was referred to investigators by NCMEC showed a young female child between the age of eight to twelve being raped by an adult male. Investigators quickly issued a search warrant for the Internet provider to locate the physical address of Conner. Once the address was confirmed, investigators along with the Mustang Police Department executed a search warrant of the residence.
Once on scene, Investigators found multiple cellular devices that contained child pornography. A forensic examination of the electronic devices was conducted while still at the residence to confirm Conner’s involvement in possession of child pornography. Investigators also identified two cellular devices with Snapchat accounts containing photographs of nude female children between the ages of eight to sixteen years of age, and some of the photographs were of minor children being raped by adults.
During the execution of the search warrant, Conner admitted to investigators that he had possessed up to five thousand images at one point in time. Conner told investigators that he had a problem, and was working on getting better. Investigators also learned Conner had been communicating with minor children as well.
“Based on the fact Conner admitted he was talking to minors has me seriously concerned that there may be hands on victims,” said Chris West, Canadian County Sheriff.
Conner was transported to the Canadian County Jail on charges of possession of child pornography. His bond was set at twenty-five thousand dollars and he remains in jail. Investigators believe more charges will be presented to the Canadian County District Attorney’s Office in the future. If you believe your children may be the victim of Conner please call the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at 405-262-3434.
