Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mickey Raper, 45, of Wheatland Oklahoma, on Thursday, May 21, 2020 after he began an illegal and graphic sexual social media and texting relationship with a 14-year-old female.  While Raper believed he was communicating with an under-aged Canadian County minor, he was instead communicating with an undercover Canadian County Sheriff's Deputy using an undercover profile on a popular social media website.

Raper had been communicating with the undercover deputy for over a year, and then in March of this year, the conversation turned sexual in nature.  Raper began talking to the decoy about having sex with her, sending nude photographs and asking the girl to send nude photographs of herself.  Raper bragged to the under-aged girl about being a drug dealer, and explained how he sold meth, ecstasy/MDMA, and marijuana.  Raper even sent the under-aged girl photos of some of the drugs he routinely sold.

During the investigation, Raper stated he wanted to meet the girl to have sex with her, and was willing to “do it” at her residence.  Raper told the girl he would bring meth, marijuana, and alcohol for them to both use.  Raper even sent photographs of the drugs he was going to bring with him on the day they were to meet for sex.

“Raper was on course to destroy a young child’s life, and I’m extremely thankful we were able to arrest him before he lived out his sick twisted fantasy, and ruined a child’s life,” said Chris West, Canadian County Sheriff

Raper admitted to investigators he was talking (sexually) to what he believed was a 14-year-old girl.  Raper stated he knew it was illegal and wrong to talk to a child sexually, and also admitted he would’ve given her drugs and had sex with her if she had actually shown up. Raper had in his possession at the time of his arrest marijuana, meth, and alcohol, which he had all promised to bring.

“I’m very happy to say that not only do I believe we saved lives by making Raper’s arrest, but that we took a drug dealer off the streets as well,” said West.

Raper was booked into the Canadian County Jail on the charge of Soliciting Sex with a Minor and Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance.  Raper's bond will be set by a Canadian County Judge at this time it is no bond.  Raper remains in custody at the Canadian County Detention Facility.
