The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of an old scam resurfacing in our area. Victims are called and told that they missed jury duty, and a warrant has been issued for their arrest. The caller identifies themself as Canadian County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kirk Thompson. The caller tells the victim for an amount of money, usually in the hundreds of dollars, that, if sent to the Deputy, will cancel the arrest warrant. This is a scam.
