On July 14, 2023 Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for child pornography in the Westlake Trailer Park (Canadian County).  The search warrant was to locate and seize videos of child pornography that were uploaded to Social Media.  Investigators quickly determined these videos were manufactured in Canadian County and executed the search warrant to locate the children and videos.

During the search warrant, investigators determined these videos were uploaded by the children of the residence and were not the result of abuse from an adult at their residence.  Investigators had forensic interviews done with the children and it was learned the children foolishly uploaded the contraband to social media.  Investigators learned from the interviews, the children were asked and exploited to do these videos by another child in the trailer park. The videos and images manufactured by this victim were recovered to prevent additional distribution.  

During the interview, the victim explained the suspect (another child) threatened the victim to send the videos to her and social media.  Investigators also learned from the interview of the victim, the suspect told the victim, she has been sexually abused by family members and that because of the abuse, she enjoyed sex.  Investigators took this information to execute another search warrant on the suspect’s house for possession of child pornography and to remove the child from the residence as it was reported they were being sexually abused by family members.

Another search warrant was executed at a second residence learned from the forensic interview of the first victim.  This residence was located in the same trailer park, and the children of the residence were immediately put in protective custody, to determine the validity of the report from the first victim.  Forensic interviews were conducted on the children of this residence.

During the forensic interviews, it was determined Robert Damron, a 41-year-old white male, was responsible for the sexual abuse of multiple children in his residence.  Victims reported in a forensic interview, Damron made the children engage in various sexual acts with him.  The victims also disclosed, Damron physically abused the children by striking and kicking them in the head and sides.  Damron was arrested by investigators after an arrest warrant was obtained from the information received from the victims.

Investigators also recovered various electronic devices from Damron’s residence and a computer forensic examination will be conducted.  Damron was arrested for Rape in the First Degree, Incest, and Domestic Assault and Battery.  He remains at the Canadian County Detention Center with a bond set at one hundred sixty thousand dollars.

“This is a classic case of how victims of physical and sexual abuse often become abusers themselves…. In this case, sadly at a very young age.  I’m so proud that my personnel where able to intervene, make an arrest and get the victims the protection and assistance they need in order to recover,”  said Chris West, Canadian County Sheriff.
