Kristie Carter is the current Canadian County Sheriff’s Office Jail Administrator. She began her career with the Sheriff’s Office as Deputy Jail Administrator in January 2019, having previously worked 21 years for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. During her time with the Department of Corrections, she gained experience in probation and parole, corrections and corrections administration. Ms. Carter also possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma and an advanced Law Enforcement certification with CLEET.
Major Carter has been a member of Oklahoma Correctional Association since 2006, currently holding the title of Past President, and previously held a position on the Officer Jeffery M. McCoy Memorial Scholarship Fund Board of Directors. Professional association membership is also held with American Probation and Parole Association, American Correctional Association, International Community Corrections Association, and the Oklahoma Sheriff’s and Peace Officers Association.
