The Sheriff's Office is responsible for registering all sex and violent offenders, residing in Canadian County, outside of a city limit. We on average register about 20 offenders who must re-register from every 90 days to annually depending on their conviction. Failure to register is a crime and we present charges to the Canadian County District Attorney's Office for offenders who fail to register or re-register timely. We also conduct routine spot checks of offenders at their homes to ensure the information they provided is accurate and they're living were they report to be residing.
